How It Started

In 2016, Tavares Designs was created from a university dorm room idea to the company and workroom that it is today. We specialize in creating custom home furnishings as well as working alongside independent companies providing small batch manufacturing services.

Laura’s passion for sewing began with her very first sewing class. Starting out in the dance industry designing and constructing costumes, and has continued to expand her knowledge and skills throughout her career. Laura has Bachelor of Science degrees in both Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design from Missouri State University.

 

At Tavares Designs, the fine details matter. Our goal is to provide clients with the ability to receive made-to-measure services or choose from our ready-made products. Our neutral colour palette and textured fabrics allow us to offer simple and elegant textiles suitable for all living spaces.
